“God made a hell. The book of the Revelation is full of judgments and woes. This world is full of sorrow and suffering and God does nothing about it. Does God care? Is God hard?”
Ask the Iranian Christian, oppressed by Islam, beaming with the joy of her Savior, “Is your God hard?”
Ask the judge who sentences Christians to prison but notes their hope and peace and secretly asks them, “How do I become a Christian?” — tell me, “Is God hard?”
Ask the sinner who has found the love and forgiveness of God who is now their Father, “Is God hard?”
Ask the Scriptures of Truth that tell of a God who gave His only Son to suffer and die at the hands of cruel men upon an old, rugged cross so that sinners like us could be made right with Him, “Is God hard?”
This world is indeed full of sin, sorrow and suffering. Most of its inhabitants do not consider that a longsuffering God will one day righteously judge them for the wrong they have done, and then bring in peace and rest. They do not know that with each refusal of the gospel of Jesus Christ, they are in effect slapping the Savior in the face, just like the soldiers did at His crucifixion.
The measure of God’s hatred for evil is the measure of His love for righteousness. This was demonstrated at Calvary when a holy God punished the Lord Jesus for the sin of mankind.
God is hard on evildoers, because God is love.
One day, every toil, every trial, and every tear for the redeemed will be gone forever because of that great triumph at Calvary.
Do you know my Savior? He welcomes all who come to Him in faith, acknowledging their sinfulness and the power of His blood to wash away every sin.
No; to the weary, burdened, seeking sinner, my God is not hard.
